Three month mentorship
Three month mentorship
The mentorship programme is aimed at writers who are committed to pursuing a particular creative project and want to see it through in the next months. Ideally, you will already have started your work-in-progress, or have a project idea in mind, before joining. While this mentoring programme has an accountability component, it is meant for writers who are serious about completing a book-length project (whether a novel, novella, collection of short stories, or memoir/non-fiction), and looking for support, feedback, and guidance along the way.
The mentorship programme will support writers in terms of:
Coaching and motivation
Reading ‘around’ your creative project
Working methods and time management
Constructive critique on your work-in-progress
What this includes:
Initial 45-minute Zoom call to understand your goals and tailor a mentorship programme
Two 30-minute (or one 60-minute) Zoom coaching sessions per month
Reading list of books around the themes of your work-in-progress
Constructive critique: annotated feedback on up to 15,000 words per month
Weekly writing exercises and prompts
Weekly 60-90 minute group writing session over Zoom (optional)
Ongoing support via e-mail during the period of the mentorship
